Suitable Temperature and Humidity: TPU film should be stored in an environment with a temperature of 10℃-30℃ and a relative humidity of 40%-60%. Excessive temperature intensifies molecular chain activity, causing the film to soften, stick together, and even chemically degrade; excessively low temperature causes it to harden and become brittle, reducing its flexibility. Excessive humidity easily absorbs water, triggering hydrolysis, leading to weakened tensile strength and reduced transparency; excessively low humidity causes the film to dry and become brittle.

Avoid Direct Sunlight: Ultraviolet rays accelerate the aging of TPU film, causing its surface to yellow, harden, and its mechanical properties to decline. Therefore, it should be stored in a cool place, avoiding direct sunlight or ultraviolet light.

Prevent Contact with Chemicals: TPU film should avoid contact with acids, alkalis, alcohols, and other chemicals to prevent chemical reactions that could degrade its performance. It should also be kept away from sharp objects to prevent scratches on the surface.

Packaging and Sealing

Sealed Packaging: Use sealed bags, moisture-proof bags, or the original packaging for storage to prevent moisture and oxygen from entering and causing moisture absorption or oxidation. For long-term storage, a desiccant can be placed inside the packaging.

Avoid Opening: Keep the TPU film packaging sealed before use. If it needs to be used multiple times, reseal it as soon as possible after opening to reduce exposure time.

Storage Method

Lay Flat: TPU film should be laid flat, avoiding excessive stacking. Single-layer stacking is best. If stacking in multiple layers, each layer should be separated by a flat pad. The stacking height should not exceed 1.5 meters to prevent deformation, indentation, and affecting thickness uniformity.

Proper Layout: The storage area should be kept clean, ventilated, and dry to avoid dust accumulation and moisture. It should also be kept away from heat and cold sources to prevent temperature fluctuations from affecting the performance of the TPU film.

Other Precautions

Regular Inspection: Regularly check the storage condition of the TPU film for mold, deformation, discoloration, etc. If any problems are found, take immediate action, such as airing or drying.

Shelf life: Under reasonable storage conditions, TPU film can generally be stored for 1-2 years. Prolonged storage may lead to performance degradation; carefully check its quality before use.
